Botox®
Botulinum toxin type A (Botox®) is effective at temporarily reducing lines and wrinkles associated with facial expression.
Botulinum toxin injections are commonly used to treat dynamic lines between the eyebrows, forehead lines and crow’s feet. It works by blocking the release of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, the chemical which tells the muscles to contract. This can help to create a subtle, more youthful appearance.
Dermal fillers
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a natural, major component of our own skin.
As we age the levels of HA we have in our skin diminishes and causes your skin to lose structure and volume, creating unwanted facial wrinkles and folds. Using a dermal filler like Juvéderm® is a safe and effective way to replace the HA your skin has lost, bringing back its volume and smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds.
Juvéderm® is injected below the skin to lift wrinkles, depressions and hollows so that they are level with the surrounding skin. The results are very good and immediately visible. On average, Juvéderm® results last anywhere from 6-12 months. Touch-up injections (as well as repeat injections) are usually needed to maintain optimal results.
