Child Smile
Maintaining good oral health during childhood is key to ensuring healthy teeth and gums for life

At Govan Dental Care, we proudly offer the Childsmile Programme for children aged from birth to 6 years old. Many parents and guardians may already be familiar with what the Childsmile programme provides, as well as its goals and objectives. However, for those who aren’t, here’s a brief overview of what to expect when visiting our practice. Through Childsmile, we are dedicated to ensuring that all children, regardless of income or background, receive the best possible start in maintaining good oral health.
We understand that many children can feel apprehensive about visiting the dentist, as everything – from the sights and smells to the sounds – can be new and unfamiliar. Our team is dedicated to making each visit as comfortable as possible for your child. We take the time to introduce them to the instruments we use, offer study aids like soft toys, and, most importantly, help them feel at ease in the new surroundings.
We believe in a gentle, patient approach and would never pressure a child into anything they’re not ready for. If they’re not feeling up to it that day, that’s perfectly okay – there’s always the next visit to try again at their own pace.

Give your child teeth the best possible start and to encourage good oral hygiene
